Replacing the Malibu Courthouse --- Santa Monica College Satellite Campus
The 27,500-square-foot educational facility will take the place of an existing Los Angeles County Sheriff's station building.
The early design of the proposed Santa Monica College satellite campus were revealed this month.
The plans for the proposed 27,500-square-foot educational facility were revealed at the Thursday, April 4 Malibu Public Facilities Authority meeting at Malibu City Hall.
Known as the Santa Monica College Malibu Center, the planned $25 million building includes a modern-environmentally sensitive design.
It also includes hook ups to connect to the city of Malibu's planned wastewater treatment facility for the Civic Center area when it becomes operational.
The campus is expected to serve up to 210 students and a dozen faculty and staff members.
